What to know about Nevada

Private-party sales, family sales and gifts are not taxed in Nevada at all. For dealer sales the rate is set by the county where the sale happens, not where you live. Separately Nevada charges an annual Governmental Services Tax at registration based on 35 percent of the original MSRP.
