How Montana calculates registration

Montana prices by vehicle age in three steps. Cars 11 years and older can be registered permanently for a one-time $87.50 and never renewed again. Vehicles with an MSRP above $150,000 and under 10 years old owe an extra $825 luxury surcharge. Montana has no sales tax.
