How Oregon calculates registration

Oregon is the only state that prices registration by fuel economy. The DMV uses the combined MPG the manufacturer assigned to your VIN. High-mileage cars and EVs pay far more unless the owner joins OReGO, the per-mile road charge program, which drops the two-year fee to $86.
